Buffalo Bayou Park: Back to Nature in the Middle of an Urban Center. It's an Example of a Beautiful and Functional Inner City Park Developed Well.

Tour of Houston - Neighborhoods:  Buffalo Bayou Park

So what's the attraction of Buffalo Bayou Park in the inner loop? There's a lot to like about this part of Houston.

Buffalo Bayou Park is nestled between downtown and high end River Oaks and it's bordered on the north by the trendy Washington Avenue and Heights areas and artsy Montrose on the south. It offers Fortune 500 jobs in downtown, nature and exercise and art and entertainment events.

Buffalo Bayou Park has miles of walking and biking trails, a skate park, a dog park and a play area for the kids. It also has art installations and the art experience of a old cistern that aged so beautifully it was developed into an art-esque tourist attraction. It's also the location of many of the city's festivals. If you're new to Houston, it's a great way to explore this area of the inner loop. If you're a long-time Houstonian, it's a great way to get back to nature in the urban center.
